TACKLING DEADLY DISEASES IN AFRICA

The Tackling deadly diseases in Africa (TDDA) programme closes at the end of November 2022. We are making our website content available for longer as a legacy of the programme and hope others will find these resources useful. We also offer designers and funders of future health security projects our insights from four years of delivery in our report, Building Trust in Uncertain Times.

Since 2019, TDDA has delivered practical changes that strengthen health systems, crisis preparedness, and early response mechanisms in Cameroon, Chad, Côte D’Ivoire, Mali, Niger (until 2021) and Uganda. We have worked with governments, civil society and communities empowering them to achieve their own ambitions in health security.

FOCUS COUNTRIES

We provide technical assistance in five countries that are highly vulnerable to disease outbreaks. Our work here shows that, even in challenging contexts, collective action can make a real difference to global health security.
